Serving Bowls "I make three sizes of serving bowls. The smallest is perfect for serving vegetables, fruit salad or rice. The medium-sized bowls are great for chips, salad or pasta. The largest bowls are wonderful centerpieces when filled with fruits or vegetables, or they can be great for a large salad or dinner party pasta course. Although I sometimes go crazy with the exterior as well as the interior glazing, bowls are really about the inside space they contain. How does the bowl hold that space, how is it defined? Does the rim send the interior off into infinity, or is everything kept inside? How does the inside relate to the outside? These are some of the things I think about when I make my serving bowls." |

Ice Cream Bowls "You don't have to be an ice cream lover to love these bowls. They are special to me because I use them as study bowls for all the other bowls I make. Because of this, they tend to be freer and more expressive. Aside from ice cream they are useful for yogurt, dips, soup, cereal, and applesauce." |
